Information on the Town of Eureka, North Carolina
North Carolina Session Law 2019-29 suspended the charter of the Town of Eureka and placed all monies and assets of the town under the control of the State Treasurer. Information on this page is intended to keep the citizens of Eureka and the general public informed about the town's finances and other developments.
Financial and Budget Information
Please note that the
tax rate for 2019-2020 is 75 cents per hundred, not 70 cents per hundred as
presented at the September 3, 2019 meeting in Eureka. The rate of 75
cents per hundred is the same rate as the prior year and does not represent an
increase; the rate was simply reported incorrectly in the materials and
presentation on September 3. All documents below have been updated to
correct the rate to 75 cents. We apologize for any confusion; feel free
