Please visit the conference webpage for details on registration and the conference agenda.

This annual event provides a lot of great information for city and county managers, finance officers, finance staff, and others that work in financial management. This year’s agenda includes sessions on:

  • GASB Updates
  • Unclaimed Property
  • LGC Updates from Fiscal and Debt Sections
  • Common Reporting Issues and Audit Submission Process Changes
  • ARPA, GAAP, and Budgetary Accounting for Cash Flow Loans, and Internal Control Checklist
  • “Office Hours” with LGC and School of Government staff – ask your questions and learn what questions others have.

The conference will provide CPE credit (see conference webpage for details) as well as training credit for managers of Unit Assistance List (UAL) units as detailed below:

Credit For Managers Of UAL Units: Commensurate with the hours of participation in the conference. All sessions of this conference are approved by the LGC toward the 6 clock hours of education required of managers of counties or municipalities on the Unit Assistance List. This education is required pursuant to changes to G.S. 153A-82 and 160A-148 enacted in Session Law 2021-124. Note that the clerk to the county’s or municipality’s governing board must maintain a record verifying receipt of the education by the manager and must provide this information, upon request, to the secretary of the Local Government Commission.

Please email SLGFD@nctreasurer.com with any questions, but note that registration must be completed via the School of Government’s conference webpage.
