SL 2022-11 (S372v6.pdf (ncleg.gov)), Section 9. (a) requires that every local government publish an annual financial report on how it used fees from the prior fiscal year for the support, administration, and implementation of its building code enforcement program as required by G.S. 160D-402(d); this report is due no later than October 1 of 2023, 2024, and 2025.
LGC staff has received a number of inquiries about this report, but we do not currently collect this information and therefore cannot report or provide this information for any local government. Each unit must fulfill this requirement through publication of its own report pursuant to the requirements of the law.
