The North Carolina Association of CPAs' annual Local Government Conference is being held both virtually and in-person (New Bern) on Wednesday, June 8. In addition to an update on the Local Government Commission by Susan McCullen, CPA, the conference will feature topics such as leases, cybersecurity risks and tech trends, a GASB update, SAS No. 145, and managing the post-COVID workplace. Early Bird registration rates are valid through May 25. To encourage participation at the conference and optional pre-conference workshop (Advanced Topics in a Single Audit), the Association is offering a limited number of free, one-night accommodations at the host hotel when you encourage a colleague to register for the conference.
