FEMA and Emergency Management Resources

Many units of local government are dealing with the damage and destruction left by Hurricane Florence.  In addition to the volume of debris and reconstruction that units might be facing, local government staff are facing the documentation and contracting requirements that come along with FEMA and Emergency Management funding. Below are some resources we hope you will find helpful in these critical tasks:

Emergency Management microsite from the SOG staff:

FEMA Procurement Regulations:

We are expecting that the NC Department of Public Safety will offer its webinar on FEMA Disaster Procurement Training several more times in the coming weeks.  We will get that information out to you as soon as we have it in hand.  You also can contact Will Polk at the NC Department of Public Safety for more information on available training. NC Department of Public Safety Disaster Assistance:

Here is the NC Department of Public Safety Disaster Assistance resource page for local governments.  You can find things like the Debris Removal Guide and a debris contract template for your use, and information about the types of assistance that is available and how to apply for it.

We will continue to share resources as we become aware of them.
