Welcome to NCCash.com!
There is approximately $711 million in the unclaimed property fund. You may be one of the North Carolinians who is owed money from the fund.
Claim Your Cash, part of the NC Cash Program, helps reunite owners with their unclaimed property.
How Do I Search and Claim My Cash?
Click on the search bar below and enter your name or business name. If your name and current or prior address is found, you can claim your NC Cash.
Some claims are eligible for E-Claim Processing when certain criteria are met. E-Claim Processing attempts to electronically match claimant information with the other owner information on file. If your claim is NOT eligible for E-Claim Processing, you will be prompted to print, sign and submit your claim through the mail along with the required documentation.
What is Unclaimed Property?
Unclaimed property consists of bank accounts, wages, utility deposits, insurance policy proceeds, stocks, bonds, and contents of safe deposit boxes that typically have been abandoned for one to five years.
Funds become unclaimed because the company loses track of the consumer, due to an incorrect address or other missing information.
By law, these funds are escheated, or turned over, to the Department of State Treasurer for safekeeping until claimed.
