Automated Service System Reinstalled

The Retirement System’s automated service system is now up and running.  To the dismay of many human resources and benefits professionals, the service – accessed by dialing 1-877-807-3131 or 919-807-3131 -- was disconnected for several weeks. The service available now is more streamlined than the previous system and should make the experience shorter and more convenient for the caller. 

The Retirement System disconnected the service in April to perform some much-needed repairs.  Human resources and benefits professionals expressed frustration at the sudden disappearance of the service and urged the System to reconnect it as soon as possible. 

The automated service is able to provide updated information about an employee’s years of service and account balance, and the status of a refund application.  Human resources and benefits professionals frequently access this service, as do active employees.
