Do you have questions about your retirement benefits? If so, make an appointment with a Member Services’ benefits counselor at the Retirement Systems Division. We are happy to help with questions about your retirement benefits. To meet with a benefits counselor, we ask that members make appointments. This means you can enjoy a shorter wait-time to speak with a benefits counselor and receive more comprehensive, individual service.

  • We want you to get the most out of your visit with us. It is helpful if you are within a year of retirement, as that will allow us to give you the most accurate assessment of your retirement benefits.
  • We also ask that you have requested and received a retirement estimate. Please use Form 309 to make this request. You can expect to receive the estimate in approximately 8-10 weeks.

We also schedule appointments if you need to discuss other benefits provided through the Retirement Systems.

Once you have the required information for your appointment, please call our office at (919) 807-3050 (in the Raleigh area) or (877) 627-3287 to schedule a time. Our office is located on the 4th floor of the Albemarle Building at 325 N. Salisbury Street in Raleigh, NC. If you are coming from outside the Raleigh area, click here for directions to our office. You can also see our street directions map to help you navigate the downtown Raleigh area.

If you are unable to travel to our office in Raleigh for an appointment, but would like more information about the retirement benefits provided to you, we also offer Retirement Planning Conferences in various locations across the state throughout the year. Check the current schedule to find a conference near you.
