Real Estate Investment Fund

The Real Estate Investment Fund holds ownership or a mortgage interest in various properties.  Investments are made across a wide variety of property types, including offices, industrial, multi-family housing, residential, and retail.  In making real estate investments, the North Carolina Retirement System retains investment managers, rather than directly investing in property.  By statute these investments are limited to 10% of total investments.
